Because those are both better records than this

Dillinger is my favorite band of the three, but I must concur. Those two records are nigh untouchable.

I def like them more than Botch but this isnβt even my favorite Dillinger record let alone better than those two

Botch don't have enough material to make this a fair comparison but We Are The Romans is in my top 30 ish albums of all time by this point and tDEP doesn't have anything to rival it (more like 50-70 ish, haven't fine-tuned this range for a while)

I honestly haven't jammed romans since I was a teen, should probably remedy that lol. And while I think this album paved the way for more grind-centric noise core of the Myspace era, that's ultimately more niche than converge or botches influence on metalcore. something "modern" liked knocked loose takes more cues from them than calculating. I wouldn't say any of them are definitively better than eachother

maybe i'll ask again on the next page(s), indefinitely, until i know the answer... π

why am i shocked that people are responding saying it's a better album
as if i don't have pre-existing data that backs that up (... i.e. ... the album ratings)

All three records are all incredible, when it comes down to it its largely just subjective choice. Jane has the edge because of the lyrics and cohesive theme and story being told (break up album). Calculating is probably more complex composition wise, but its just so chaotic and theres no real thing tying it all together. I cant remember enough of We Are the Romans.
None of these three records are outright superior to the other aside from personal taste. They are all incredibly important pieces in metal/mathcores history.
I prefer dillinger to converge but i prefer Jane over this. This is my least faviourite Dillinger record

Ehh it's just people with different tastes: like people think the wall is pink floyds best album, i don't but good for them. Something that seems obvious to me may not register to someone else and vice versa. Stats can't really back up someones personal connection to something, even with something universally praised people are gonna take interest in certain aspects that another die hard fan might not even notice.

i only really fk with the first 1 and a half dillinger , the EP and the Patton collab
Gregs vox have just always irritated me. Superb frontman though.
Botch and Even Gaza well above in my pecking order
Im massively picky with my Converge too though
'its different people with diff tastes' [2]

Tbh these days I think I might like I Donβt Care Where I Go When I Die the most out of any of the records mentioned, that album is just so goddamned insane.
