Yeah it's a weird algorithm whatever it is, I remember when RTJ 3 dropped and the hype was so great that the influx of comments in the threads for the first two albums caused them all to trend simultaneously.

ok. but my question is about the coherence of the trending albums in the main page and the trending albums or "trending metal albums" (https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/76474/Oceans-of-Slumber-The-Banished-Heart/) as this example...are not coherent...but it just looks that this band is not considered a metal band...or i don't know

Are you talking about the charts? They operate solely on the average rating (after some arbitrary rating number threshold is reached). The trending album page is basically based on how much activity in general is occurring around an album.
