nah (because the fire exists which is unfairly underrated) but it’s second best
this has been growing on me a lot lately but the opening 3 songs and closer kinda blow everything else out of the water. ancient gods has a killer chorus and gold jacket has one of their best bridges tho

LIEY is the best by far imo.

SS is best imo, but The Fire is incredible. They really don’t have any bad albums aside from LINAWR and PTTFYH.

waiting room rules. legit will never get the hate that thing gets. map the streets family tradition and wolves at the door are top tier sf

I love all of them except this.

Family Tradition is a great song, but the album has too much filler and the lyrics just don't work for me most of the time. It's not an awful album, I just feel that it doesn't match up well against their other material.

ultra personal buddy>serial killer buddy tbh but i get why some are so into enfold plus the first 6 songs and closer can’t be denied

Trust me there are songs on LIEY that I think are garbage, but I enjoy it for what it is. I enjoy how over the top and dramatic the lyrics are. Choke on This is almost inspired in how ridicolous and hateful it is.

It’s extremely nostalgic for me so that’s a big part of why I love it. Can’t say I’d call anything on that album garbage.

Garbage may be too strong of a word, but Slow Dance and Irony of Dying really kill the pacing of the album imo.

Garden State is one of my favorites of SF in general. I am good with all their albums from Searching to Renacer but the rest I can do without. Rum is for Drinking is the only song I really like from LIEY.

My favorites are Lady in The Blue Dress, Rum is for Drinking, NJ Sinks , and Choke on This. The album as a whole is really fun, if not overdramatic.

For whatever reason, I just really don't like their early sound with LIEY and Depths of Dreams. Still Searching is what actually got me into the band, but with Thorns, the EP, and now this, I think I have lost interest in looking forward to new material.
Oh well, I still have those middle 4 albums.

I get not liking LIEY. It took me a long time to get into it. Its peak "scene" material. It has some most enjoyably over the top lyrics I've heard.

LIEY shreds i just think they have like 5 albums with better songwriting, and still searching does the same kind of style but with better (albeit completely different) lyrics, production and songwriting in general

I’ll say that they have 3 albums with better writing than LIEY, but I get it. I definitely agree that SS does their early sound the best.

LEIY is easily their best. It's not mature in any sense of the word, but it has their catchiest material, and it's just super raw and honest. I love the Buddy's voice is like blown out for half the screams, he literally put everything he had into his performance.

Man I love that cover
