I do agree with that needs more moments like that

I can actually agree with that, even though I find this more or less flawless. More moments like the screaming part of Same Logic or 451 can't hurt.

In the Water/Desert is the easy highlight for me. Lit Me Up is a fantastic opener though, reminds me a bit of Yo La Tengo's Everyday

Batter Up and Same Logic are the two tracks on here that put me in this inexplicable mindset that I only get when I listen to TDAG and Daisy the most, so those are obv my faves

A band I really want to like, but this is just so average I'm really struggling to see the adoration. Songs are rather flat, delivered in a dull way, I'd just like ... more?

Having listened to this about 10 times I must say:

This rather feels like a random compilation of (good) b-sides than a coherent album.

Good one - I love this album. Can't wait to go home and give it my thirteenth-ish spin.

Now hopefully this will somehow inspire a new Glassjaw record *winces*

@ Sowing

"Liking brand new makes you a teenager good one"

Well, it sort of does. I mean they have certainly matured since DE and listening to that album after all these years doesn't mean that one has to relive one's adolescence; however, BN clearly pronounced that they are interested in ending the band as 18-year old/olds (even if it's a rationale for being a little bit burnt out), they put that "die young and save yourself" motto out there and they constantly reinvite their listeners to those old motives and thoughts. I mean it's not wrong to question the world like a teenager, it's just the case of asking more apt questions.
