Yeah, it looks like it belongs on a new age or folk album. Neat stuff

Dang. RIP. Legitimately sad. At 11 years old, Hybrid Theory was the first album that lead me to specifically seek out an album. I listened to nothing but them for 3-4 more years until it got old. Soft spot because of that. This sucks.

This album is really not as bad as I thought originally. I really dig Invisible and Sharp Edges.

Yeah I bumped this too, although I think the two Mike-led songs are the best. The only song I really don't like is Sharp Edges tbh.

I don’t care for this album at all tbh, but the last two songs here are pretty decent. One More Light, especially. Definitely has a sadder context now

One More Light is easily the best on here.

"You don't want to be a human being?

Yep."

Then they laugh it off. I don't think mike saw it coming. the cry for help went completely over his head.

Who’d’ve thought a song off this shitty album would actually make me feel for a second

Yeah relistening to this, all the lyrics feel far more genuine, knowing how Chester must have been feeling. Doesn't stop it being a pretty bad album in my book, but its certainly better than I thought given the change in circumstances. Has kind of fucked me up.

Just want to point out that Brnnington only had writing credits on 2 songs here. It's fine if the lyrics have more weight for you just know that he didn't actually write 80% of them.

I've seen videos of them writing some of the stuff, kind of a 'bouncing ideas off one another' kind of affair, on a fair few of these songs. I get what you are saying though, its a fair thing to keep in mind. Hearing a guy singing about how suicide is a bad thing and about battling depression just hits harder after the guy singing it kills himself

on relisten the lyrics have way more weight yeah, even if he didn't write them. certainly enhances some of the songs, though a fair bit of others are still pretty bad. no context could make good goodbye close to being a listenable song

People are right about the t/t. It weighs way more on you when you listen to it closely.
