Tbh Limp Bizkit nowdays is basiclly everything that was wrong with the nu metal era. Feel bad for otto, rivers, dj lethal and borland because with a decent vocalist they could create killer tunes, but instead they had the worst douche of the nu metal era which is an awful singer, rapper and lyricist, even the weakest tracks of MTM and ATS rape shit like gold cobra or results may vary

I can tell you that Fred used to be an asshole back in the day, but I look it now, and he's a more of a serious musician and person, you should see him, I like it more now than in th early 00's.

He's more a down to earth person.

gold cobra had a couple of good tunes imo.

idk, fred durst is quite a character because he kinda ruins the band and makes people never take them seriously, but once you think about it part of the fun is because of fred durst. songs like my way, break stuff, rollin, nookie, take a look around, etc wouldn't work without such talentless douche. he does make decent performances in the more "serious" songs like re-arranged, boiler and walking away. plus limp bizkit has given us two consistent records by the name of three dollar bill y'all and the unquestionable truth.



i'd say linkin park is tied with limp bizkit because even though linkin park has the better vocalists and songwriters, limp bizkit has the better musicians. linkin park also has given us two great records and some good songs spread throughout their later records. now they've given us this which manages to be slightly worst than results may vary.

which is worst, though? making a shit record intentionally for cash grab, or making a shit record unintentionally with "some effort" behind it? or maybe that's irrelevant and we can all agree this is shitty music wise and intention wise

I read that Fred doesn't want to release an album yet, because he's undecided in which path the band should take. I wish they could make an unequestionable truth pt, 2. Limp bizkit could improve a lot following that style. I read his lyrics in the ep, and he can be an amazing lyricist when he takes his job as lyricist seriously.

Fred Durst was the exact person LP needed him to be, he fit their attitude and style perfectly and honestly his persona solidified the bands identity. LP is a cool band I'll always enjoy their stuff from time to time.

He wasn't even that bad when comparing him to a lot of the mainstream divas we have to deal with nowadays.
