So, Onyx is actually awesome. Took me a while, but I dig it.

Eclosion took me the longest to get believe it or not.

Know what got me? DAT BASS. Ugh. So grooves, much feels.

agree that title track is just a typical alcest song, still pretty decent

Agree also, but it's pretty much the epitome of their sound. Makes you feel all warm and comfy. Eclosion is still mostly traditional. Album does a really fantastic job of easing you into new territory.

Je Suis on is pretty different so yeah.

Alcest song with Japanese inspiration, not so typical I think. This also has some progressive elements I haven't heard in Alcest before that I dig, such as the odd-time break in Eclosion and that one Tool sounding riff in Oiseaux de proie.

Well finally got my hands on this album (illegally but no stream available come on...). Listened to the deluxe version, everything was fine until the end, instrumentals? Wish there was some vocals in those, they would have fit perfectly...

I can't see a reason not to buy this unless you live on the street and eat from a dumpster.

To listen to it? No. I'll buy definitely. This or Ecaille, or both.

Awesome, me too. And this music is about escapism after all.

I've jammed this every day since it came out and I'm still finding new things to love about it. A fantastic album indeed, top 5 of 2016 for me.

Moonsorrow, Vektor, Insomnium, and Alcest. 5th spot is in contention.
