This is probably my second favorite of the entire DTP, behind 'Addicted'. Damn, "Secret Sciences" and "Failure" are just incredible songs

This review pretty much sums up my exact feelings of DTP as well. There's so much potential and his experimentations in other groups and in the past were/are evidence of that. It's a shame he can't find the soul that was evident on those older records because that guy and band has so much talent it's ridiculous. I wish he'd stop using the female vocalist so much because his voice is incredible enough and sometimes her voice comes off way too over the top, operatic and/or poppy.

I think this review is spot on, not only from my subjective view, but I think there's a strong truth to everything you said. Here's to hoping DTP goes back to experimentation and pushing their talents!

Agreed even though I think this album was a huge step in the right direction. Here's hoping they step even further towards their progressive sound next time, which seems like it could be the case as he said all future DTP will be written as a band like this one was.

Can't get into this one at all. I wish he'd strip back his sound at least a little, there's so much going on that it just ends up feeling dull.

Forgot about this one! He was great to see live right after release. Puts on a great show.

I just can't take any more Anneke Van Giersbergen. Make it stop. Female vocalists are always cheesy as hell in his songs. I wish I could point to a full album by this man where there's *not* a song I skip or something I cringe at. Maybe his next.

OK, there's an exception. Maybe I meant all of that, but with his heavy music.
