^^what Dizchu said, logical continuation of BF and OI, plenty of reference to those albums but I like how this is a concept album, one song with ten movements or episodes, the energy and drive of which are enormous. 73 minutes pass in a moment. Wouldn't say it outshines BF and OI that much tho, the individual tracks & riffage on those albums remain incredible and catchy as hell.

not sure why you would single out poison was the cure from rust in peace to prove a point, it's one of the stronger songs

Colored Sands does rule though, can't argue with that one, even though that album and Paracletus are about as similar as Coventry and a good time.

Holy mother of rating graphs.

My scepticism aside, I already know I'm going to enjoy the new Vektor record. I can feel it in my psyche.

Gorguts was one of the first extreme metal band having this dark, super heavy distorted sound on Obscura. Sure, DsO is a different beast, but Gorguts was the true trailblazer. Many people still hate Obscura. I must say I didn't know if this album was great or just disgusting the first time I listened to it... Which is a good thing. ;)

Can't wait to listen to their new EP (it was great on stage).

Anyway, DsO is a band I like to talk shit about, don't take it too seriously.

Who's seriously comparing this album less than a week old to thrash albums that are pushing on 30 years old?
