I've just ducked out of work for a couple of pints, hopped on the train to get home and am spinning this album.

To support his growing family, Gavin looked for work delivering pizzas. This was where Meadows caught up with him to make the documentary The Living Room, about Gavin’s attempts to play his first solo live show in the front room of his house. The film is uneasy viewing at points. “I’ve had bouts of depression and panic attacks since my early 20s,” Gavin once said, “and I’ve had the usual addictions to booze and drugs that go hand in hand with mental illness. I can’t escape it and have almost learned to accept it – it’s part of me. My songs are a reflection of the world as I see it, and the world as I see it is often dark, but not hell.”
Ouch.

He's a sputter dan dude, one of us. The only difference is I absolutley guarantee he would of thought TDAG was total shite.
|

Well he's hypothetically correct about one thing then.

Doofus, about Kaputt, I don't know what it is. It just doesn't grab me. Haven't listened to it 30 times though.
Zak, even on this thread you are bashing TDAG? Yes it is angsty, the loud-quiet-loud dynamic is overused and second half is weak. I still like it though...

It's Zak's thing, like being the absolute concentrated essence of Britishness in his comments. Just let it happen.

More mid-week after work beers later will undoubtedly lead to me spinning this on the train home blubbing like a 4yr while I drop half a Cornish Pastie down my Guinness stained top.
Welcome to real life dudes. Rules.
