How's the production on this? I've been trying to get into black metal, but I can't stand the shitty production on the albums I've checked out.
And then I get people saying "BUT SHITTY PRODUCTION IS SO BLACK METUHL, BRUH!"
I'm trying, but I cannot stand bad production.

I'm a fan. J Mascis is kinda weird though.
I'm ashamed to say that Rock Band is what introduced me to them.

I wouldn't compare this to Altar of Plagues or Agalloch because they're all very different. I like all of them though.

This isn't baby black metal. You can like black metal and like this as well as not like black metal and like this. It's more along the lines of WITTR. If you like WITTR, you should like this. Unless you consider them to be baby black metal

It seems like I'm in the minority for thinking this is better than Sunbather.

I have always meant to get into these guys but never really given them a proper listen.

This is p. accessible for those not familiar with metal yeah
|

Okay, it might draw new people into the genre, but there's certainly enough substance here for those of us already well versed in it.
