Yeah, you're kinda right. I do hope that Act V will have that same excellent flow as IV has. Every time I wanted to listen to a song or two, I often ended up listening to the rest because the transitions connected the album so well.

Everything I've heard from Act V so far indicates it will be a lesser Act IV. Sounds very similar in approach, but the material just isn't quite as good. Will probably be in the 3.7 to 4.2 range, seeing as I have Act IV as a 4.7 or something. Sorry not trying to sound elite with my .1 increments

its the same guys who made act iv so im certain there will be plenty of surprises in there. it will at the very least be my second best album of the year after jimmy eat world, if not the number 1

No idea where this will land for me. I've had more stuff rated 4+ this year than any other year. For me the final YC will likely be in the mix along with the 2 you mentioned. Right now Radiohead and Kevin Morby occupy my top 2 spots.

well this year has been an enormous lake of 3s and 3.5s for me so im ready for something to knock me off my feet. probably pg.lost and hammock are the closest in the running for aoty, but if jimmy or dear hunter are even half as good as i think theyll be then there will be no contest.

It could still be a great 3.5 and 4 at worst (I really don't think these guys can do worse than that given the situation), but if V doesn't make my top 10 of the year, it'll still feel like a disappointment.

Actually I don't recommend listening to this leak, there are gaps in-between the tracks. That's not what TDH is about. Tried out another link and same problem. Just don't think it's worth it at this point.

Up to you man, the quality isn't the best either at 128kbps but I'm too hyped to hear it so. Halfway through and it's pretty good. On par with Act III so far.

Yeah. Thanks anyway. I actually thought the quality sounded pretty damn crisp. I'm not much of a bitrate warrior. But the transitions are really important for this band I think.
