Ahhh, so there it is. If you were expecting "death metal" in a traditional or non-traditional sense , I can see why u were let down. This isn't just death metal. There is a shit-ton of genre bending too. Have an open mind and this might grow on you.

This album holds the perfect balance between aggressiveness and hauntingly beautiful harmonies, innovative progressive metal at its finest. Everything on here is top-notch plus Mikael is at the top of his game. His growling and clean singing is just perfect. Same goes for Lopez, his performance on here is by far his best imo. Ah, I'm really in love with this one, what an amazing piece of music :]

This is my second fave Opeth. I remember getting into this band through the Grand Conjuration music video, although Watershed was my first Opeth album and one of my first extreme metal albums in general
