starmourner seems as though it's going to be super self-indulgent based on the two shared tracks, but hilarious is a strange adjective to use
edit: also just took a listen of Ambrosial, it's actually not bad! the last 4 minutes really seem like it could be halved, though. vocalist needs new tricks tho

No way. This album is pretty fucking bad. Golden Number is shit and that's the one most people say, "At least Golden Number is good!" I gave it a fair shot. I actually like at least one song and realize they have potential, but I don't think they'll ever put out a full album worthy of an actual positive rating. The first single from the new album confirmed that for me.

The vocals are definitely a huge part of it, they make for a good laugh. But the band reuses the same song structure over and over, and they really just suck at writing compositions. Also their production is pretty awful.

I think golden number's the happiest song here. The rest from what I remember was mostly pseudo-depressive blackgaze. Still not very depressing, but definitely less happy.
