it's not quite, "here, take it" when you have to pay half your fucking life savings just to listen to the shit.

yeah the pricing was kinda ridiculous honestly lol

i think $33 for 4 hours is reasonable, the price hikes with the flac/wav versions are ridiculous though. but like whos gonna buy that shit anyways

"anyone who's looking at it and thinking its intended to be listened to in one whole sitting is dum"

Pretty much this. It's 5 EPs, they never even said it was an album. I'm properly digesting them one at a time before moving to the next. Practically no one who is a fan of ae take their music insanely seriously, they're just very appreciative of how much mind-bending music these guys release to their fans.

there's no "intended way" to listen to it, I guess. if one feels like listening to the five discs separately, so be it. if one - like avagantamos and me - feels like listening to them all in a row, so be it. pretty simple.

i've made exceptions for albums like tomorrow, in a year, which is roughly 1 1/2 hours long, but listening to an album for 4-5 hours is fucking nuts. how could you even digest it? remember any of it?

Brains are pretty good at remembering things, especially when most of the tracks are the same basic concept stretched out across their entire lengths.

"it's not quite, "here, take it" when you have to pay half your fucking life savings just to listen to the shit."

pricing sucks sach agreed but cmon if you really need it that badly it's very easy to come by... and you can just buy it at a later date or support them through some other means

yeah that would be ideal snox, but the length of this project of theirs makes doing that something akin to listening to an artist's entire discography. listening to all of these would be like listening to 7 radiohead albums. it seems like an incredibly daunting task

Yeah, the concept Ov brought to the table would also work just fine. One can listen to elsec through so many different prisms and angles. One of these days I'm going to play "freulaeux" and "oneum" simultaneously (they have almost the same length and everything). It'll probably sound like shit, but I'm morbidly curious about it for some unknown reason.

lol the problem is you're treating it at a single album rather than 5 separate EPs

I love how Gryo is adamant that you can't digest elseq fully in such a short amount of time, yet has already given it a rating
