what's with the sputnik jerk circle on this album? the only improvement here over the last 2 albums is slightly better production

The other night I met a friend of a friend for the first time who claimed to be a metalhead. I asked him if he heard this album yet (because it's fantastic) and he just proceeded to rip on CC, calling them an embarrassment to the genre...later on he went on a whole rant on how As The Palaces Burn is his favorite death metal album.

actually i dont even consider myself to be a metalhead any more because these lil kids are destroying our rep with their bullshit. at least people that listen to pop music can enjoy their stuff without taking a shit on what others like. also, the newest generation of metalheads seem to be the ones that care so much more about what others like rather than what they actually like. its funny and depressing at the same time

The word 'technical' is mentioned 7 times in this review and all over the comment section. These posers

are obsessed with these technical death metal bands who jerk off with their guitars. Fact is all these

forgettable bands couldn't write a memorable riff to save their life. New Cannibal Corpse is no

different.



George is annoying as fuck on this record. Vocals are mixed way too high and on top of that he hasn't

sounded good since the early 2000s. Lyrics are shit, especially on Kill or Become.



Nothing on this album touches The Bleeding. The followup to that, Vile, which is rated a 3.5 on sputnik,

is the best the band ever did with Corpsegrinder. The tracks Monolith, Mummified in Barbed Wire, Devoured

by Vermin, and Bloodlands shit on this entire record.



Technical death metal peaked 20 years ago and so did Cannibal Corpse. Don't forget that you posers.
