Well, obviously not; if you don't like a band, then it is a waste of time haha. But context can be really important in understanding how a band got to where they are now. Past albums lack the electronic effects and are more straightforward, so there is always the chance that Hawks could have enjoyed the previous efforts.

I don't care if you hate this record, I'm just sick of people accusing Within the Ruins of being robotic and a strictly-studio band. These dudes play everything perfectly live. I know it's shocking that a deathcore act can play fast and precise, but it just happens to be the case with these guys.

its not about whether or not the band can play their songs live; something like that is expected of any average band.
it has to do with the quality of the sound on the album. this is heavily produced metal, regardless of whether or not the band can play live. Just get it through your head; not everybody enjoys listening to compressed metal.
