So apparently this album got it's title because the band felt that most popular modern rock is going in a very tame and pop direction (admitting that that's what they were doing on their last couple albums) and that rock acts were becoming herbivores rather than the hungry carnivores (hence the tour title) they used to be. They are the hunting party, being carnivores restoring balance to nature.
