As much as I love Echoes, WYWH the track will forever be my favourite song of all time. And I've never really loved a Pillow of Winds.

@Wack

I prefer the live at pompeii version of "One of these days", but yeah it's a great song nonetheless. I couldnt agree more though, the entire album, except Seamus, is absolutely brilliant. "Echoes" was the song that truly made me love Pink Floyd, so that's mainly why Meddle will always mean a lot to me.

"And I've never really loved a Pillow of Winds."

Really? I love that song with all my heart. I always get into a nostalgic mood when i hear it, and I dont know why. I think it's a beautiful folk piece, with a an odd touch of eerieness that makes it perfect. I personally find it a more satisfying listen than "Wish you were here", but it's all a matter of opinion.

Well, music lies in the eyes (or ear) of the beholder. Everyone has their preferences.

True that, it's all just opinions. I would place both this album and Obscured by Clouds in my Top 5 Floyd, which is certainly not a common opinion.

honestly I've never been crazy about one of these days. I enjoy it but it's probably one of my least fav couple of songs on Meddle. pillow rules, as does fearless. san tropez is sweet. seamus is ok. echoes rules but isn't in my top 5 floyd songs :O

I wonder how much they payed to sample Stephen Hawking... and did they realize at the time they could have just used an old Mac to produce the same thing for free

Personally, I enjoy this one more than their work with Syd but if you mean their classic stuff I agree 100%.
