They thought the original cover art (which is the one you see here) was too serious compared to previous stuff they released, and they were short on time to redo the cover so they released the album with a close-up of the torso of that zombie on the middle

I actually like the original artwork better. It just looks like a close up of a bloody slab of flesh, it looks disgusting, just like the album.
