yano, often people wonder why other people add comments on reviews of bands they dont even like, question-why bother.
im sure as hell not a fan of sum of the excuse for bands that are out there, but wud i bother looking thru reviews of any of their albums, and then follow up with a comment of "how much they fukn suck"-ahh no.
forgive my nieve countryboy view, but if ye dont like the band, dont bother readin/commenting on em.

Tough nipples fanboy. The internet is not your playground to felate your favorite band. It's a place where everyone is free to state ideas, opinions, and meaningless crap if they so choose.

...and I suppose My Chemical Romance is better. I don't like Slipknot either but your taste in music isn't any better so please try and be more tolerant. I'm sorry to tell you this but not everyone likes the same music as you.

Let anybody say any band sucks. But 90% of the people on here won't take you seriously if you don't SPELL IT CORRECTLY. And if you can't stand people telling you opinions that contrast your own, then might I recommend clicking that little "x" at the top-right corner of your screen?

^ when you say a band sucks you should elaborate on it otherwise I'd just call that spam.
Besides I don't even like Slipknot but that doesn't mean I'm just going to come in to this thread and start saying they suck two or three times.

Anyone who says Slipknot sucks... A. Doesn't like metal and shouldn't be posting here anyway, or B. Is only judging the band based on what they've heard from other people. There is no way that if you like metal you think Slipknot sucks. They have one of the most skilled drummers I have ever heard, and the guitarist isn't half bad either. When you listen to this album, the first tracks that jump out at you is the three song chunk of Pulse Of The Maggots, Before I Forget, and Vermilion Part 2. I like Pulse of the Maggots the best, but Before I Forget has a sweet guitar opening and also won a grammy. This album is far from perfect, but I like slipknot toned down from the noisy ferocity of Iowa and s/t. This is exactly the right noise level for me, and it even has some acoustic mixed in! My favorites are Pulse of the Maggots, Vermilion Pts 1 and 2, Before I forget, and The Blister Exists. The Prelude 3.0, The Virus of Life, Welcome, and Danger-Keep Away are the only songs that are really bad. You could probably put Circle in there too. But the strength of ten excellent songs puts this album as one, if not the, top releases in 2004, a year thin with good hard rock/metal albums.
