You all can start calling me a poser: I`ve never liked Altars, and some on the songs on Blessed and Covenant i found them meh... However
Fucking thanks Piss! While Disco D > Browning, imo, this album IS really the missing link. ALL of the songs so far are superior to their later versions, and while i WANT to have Pete`s children, i cant just agree enough that Browning drumming in these versions are FAR better and fitting, for the thrashened death/black metal displayed here.
Honestly? I began listening to this with really low expectations (i dont like first wave DM that much), but this is just sooooo sweet. I`ll be jamming this all week, together with Nocturnus 2nd and 3rd album, Deicide 1st and 2nd,, the last Voivod, Hexenhaus 2nd, Obliveon 2nd, and Protector "Shedding" (soo sweet Piss, check those last three).
So far a solid 4, and growing to 4.5.
