For you guys giving Descension positive reviews do you believe that tracks like Away We Go, 2's my Favorite 1, and (especially) Iron Fist equal the quality of the tracks on Ascension?

To me, these tracks are clearly inferior in quality so I'm kind of surprised to hear others giving this cd such big praise when half the songs seem pretty middling to me.

No, I don't think you understand. My opinion will stay the same, so will yours.

But who is right? How do we know? Answer: We don't.

But, consensus gives us clues.

Let me give you an example: Nickelback comes out with a new album. Everyone who knows anything about music understands the album sucks. It gets horrible reviews nearly across the board. The consensus is overwhelmingly that the album sucks.

The kid down the block, on the other hand, bought it and loves it.

Now, who is right? Well nobody really, but consensus gives us clues as to who is MORE right, particularly if said consensus is overwhelming.

Surely you must understand.
