Course I have. I've listened to all their albums since I was like 11. They're all great, bar sunday, but feel that Deadwing is my most beautiful with songs like Mellotron scratch, Start of something beautiful, lazarus and glass arm shattering on it.
I can understand why people wouldn't like FOABP. Some days it annoys me, other days it's fantastic

Every song on here is great but bookends and t/t are best

Wtf 3.6?? This is really underrated imo, exactly the same way Heritage is...

This is better than anything Akerfeldt or Wilson have put out, solo or in their bands, in 5+ years. Including Heritage

Well I wouldn't go that far, but it's indeed an awesome masterpiece. I like Heritage and The Raven That Refused to Sing (among their combined recent discogs) more, though

Raven comes close

Well, overall Wilson's solo career is imo his best project so far. All three albums are at least 4.5s. Seems like the man is at his peak now... It actually may be a good thing that PT are on hiatus, he seems more inspired now than he was on The Incident...

Raven beats this for days on end, even though this was great

Raven is in my opinion the best prog album since, let's say, Animals. So yeah it beats a lot of things
|
| |
I really wouldn't go that far, but best prog in the last 3 or 5 years? 100% yes

I don't know, I just feel there's something magical about The Raven...
|

Album Rating: 4.5
Raven is a great album but not exactly original and kinda cheesy at some parts, this is just completely unique and creates an auditory world that transcends most other music, it's such an experience, filled with sinister but also uplifting emotions and challenges the mind more than most albums could hope to. Might have to 5 this

Yeah well it has kind of the same "transending feeling" than Talk Talk's Laughing Stock actually. This is indeed a potential 5, and it has some of the most beautiful melodies these guys have ever written (like the beginning of the t/t and the ending of Happy)

Drag Ropes is creepy as all hell, especially paired with the music video
