Well Vildhjarta is a great band too, they definitely are epic. But I feel like Northlane could incorporate a lot more ideas with a 7 string - their guitarists are very talented.

Agreed. Good guitarists for sure. If I were them I would have seven strings and a good place to start - in terms of tuning - would be drop Ab

Agreed. They already have that djent tone going, and it works well.

Review was terribly written, full of contradictory and nonsensical statements. Stopped reading when you said there wasn't enough melodic guitar work.

And not having a enough melody is a logical negative side to this album. So idk what you're getting at there.

I could've been more constructive. What I was talking about was that I wholeheartedly disagreed with what he said about the melody. I think this album manages to be incredibly, near-excessively melodic while still managing to be heavy as fuck.

"The guitar work is exceptional but is a flaw of this album." really didn't make sense and was fairly contradictory, which was what I was trying to point out, to make it clearer.

Besides that, "Melodic guitar work could have made this album a 4-4.25 but is not apparent in this album." came across as entirely untrue to me.

Well its really not that melodic guitar work. A good example of heavy guitar work that is melodic is anything ABR. This isn't like that

It just seems to me that every other moment he's at the opposite end of the neck to where he was prior. I certainly couldn't hope to keep up.
