@skeames its up there for sure, pretty much sums up my thoughts on religion.

"Can't believe how strange it is to be anything at all" might be mine.

When you were young you were the king of carrot flowers,

and how you built a tower tumbling through the trees,

and holy rattlesnakes that fell all around your feet.

@avon yep, and his delivery on both of those lines is so full throated and weighty. Just beautiful.

Up and over we go, the weight it sits on down and I don't know

I will shout until they know what I mean

I mean the marriage of a dead dog sing

And a synthetic flying machine, machine

@Avon I agree, I don't think I'd be happy if the first time I saw them was at a festival.

@avon Black Foliage man. They (OTC) were a contemporary Elephant 6 co. band, in fact Jeff was originally a member (played drums I believe) after the dissolution of Synthetic Flying Machine in the early 90's, which was just Jeff Mangum, Will Hart and Bill Doss(RIP). the latter two are in OTC.

but yeah, definitely check it out man omg. i rec it to everyone yet hardly anyone listens. one of my all-time favourite albums, about on par with this in terms of quality.
