Theories sounds incredible

Hoping the production quality is maintained on the new Fates album. The Arch/Matheos sounds great, even if it's a little more "claustrophobic" than Theories
I think Joey's bass could be a bit punchier. It's been dull on the last couple of albums

Hard to say really. It’s as good as any song on here. Think about that.

I didn’t love this one at first due to the poppier direction but the songs are just very good overall and it’s definitely been growing on me
We’ll see if Inside Out has the same effect, on first listen it just reminded me of this but longer and lesser-quality songs

--We’ll see if Inside Out has the same effect, on first listen it just reminded me of this but longer and lesser-quality songs--
Inside Out is the only time Fates Warning made the same album twice. The problem, besides sounding super similar, is that the band's contract was ending after Inside Out and they were trying to find another label. This meant less money was given to the band for Inside Out. So, no Terry Brown as producer, cheaper studios, etc... also, Jim Matheos was kind of going through an identity crisis, of sorts. He was kind of over the progressive metal thing at that time.

Inside Out suffers from really bad production. There are some quality songs, Monument and Face The Fear, but overall the song writing is pretty bland.
