Yeah this looks like my personal album of the year so far. Don't think I've 5'd anything else from 2011 so far.

Rickly has completely outdone himself this time.

It is heavy. It's also got more of that raw punk-ish feel than just about all of their prior work, in a good way. This shit is fantastic.

Well I guess that depends on your personal definition of "heavy" then dude. Compared to earlier Thursday work though? I consider this quite heavy in that regard, more brash and raw and energetic than some of their previous work with I don't know....a new attitude sort of? Not really, it's the same attitude they've always had, but it just seems like they really nailed it here, like they were able to play and say everything they really wanted to here to create a cohesive work that holds together on repeated listens. I mean, nah, it's not "heavy" if you're going to compare it to like freaking Dying Fetus or something, but in relation to earlier Thursday I think it's probably their "heaviest" work yet.

I could agree with a term like "dense", I think that's what you're going for. It's very focused and hits the mark perfectly, and the energy is in all the right places
