It isn't that bad sonic. after the first two songs the album kind of rules. If you disregard the fact that it's Rise Against and that they can release much better, it's a damn good album.

this is basically some uptempo mall rock with shitty "socially conscious" lyrics and a punk label slapped on for purposes of target marketing. and it sucks every kind of dick.

i can imagine them sitting in the studio and discussing what to write next: "okay we've got our anti-war song, our anti-bullying song, a song that talks about hurricane katrina and one with a metaphor about how oil companies exploit poor people. hey tim, go check CNN and see what the latest natural disaster is"
