pretty good radio metal if you ask me. solid performances all around and yeah it's cheesy as fuck, but when was that never a defining element of Disturbed?

froot my problem with this one in particular is that it's so emotionless and generic. Believe actually had a lot of sadness and emotion built into it. Indestructible was angry, sad and had emotion.
This is so empty and contains none of the qualities that I appreciate about them.

fucking sucks

Hahaha that video was worth the listen! If the single is indicative of their current sound this is shaping up to be their weakest by far. Too bad because Asylum is easily one of their most consistent ones though nobody thinks so.

Their best work was that stretch where they didn't put out anything

Everything about the new track awful, from the lyrics to the chorus to the vocals to the generic instrumentals to the video.

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Even when my taste in music was pretty bad I still never liked these guys outside of like 3 songs. And not in a way in which I think its awful, just boring radio rock.

Same, they were one of the nu metal bands I couldn't enjoy

The only time I'd listen to Disturbed nowadays, because this is a fucking big moment in my life (starts at 20 seconds):

i've never found disturbed to be awful, but they've just never been entertaining enough for me to even finish the first 4th of an album!

Good review, good album. 3,9 being average of songs for me. "Another Way to Die" is the best one, followed up by "My Child" and "Innocence".

Unpopular opinion but for me this is their only release that works somewhat tightly as an album. It's not super consistent, but it's a very decent platter of radio-ready metal.
Also The Animal is a rip-off of Korn's Justin.
