Either/Or is my favourite I think cos those first four tracks just slay me. if it falls away a bit it picks back up with Angeles and finishes awesomely too with Say Yes. I love everything I've heard of his but still missing Roman Candle and ST.

@sea yeah exactly. Most other bands have a top-tier that is almost unanimously agreed upon within their dedicated fanbase. The only other discog that I can relate Smith's to off the top of my head is Pink Floyd - there are 5 or 6 safe choices for their "best" album.

I'm not super motivated to check Roman Candle based on what I've heard from it, but I just can't find the ST in stores or through dubious means. I'll end up ordering it cos Needle in the Hay rules.

klap's ranking rules all but i'd switch either/or and xo. Despite ranking Either/Or third, Between The Bars is my favorite

Elliott song. The Lucky Three performance of it is breathtaking.



edit: yeah Needle In The Hay is actually one of the weaker songs on the s/t. Christian Brothers, Coming up Roses, and the

last five songs are all better.
