I wasn't talking about him as a drummer either. I meant Eppard really doesn't add that much to the band(exceptions being some spots on SSTB)
I mean, at least Pennie is entertaining.

I will give you that, his drumming is the only thing that makes Guns of Summer even remotely bearable.
but then again if they didn't have pennie they never would have even attempted to write that song, so
the conundrum continues.

As a drummer I can't stand listening to the majority of the material Eppard as drummed on, there's just so much more than could have been done. He didn't even have much of a groove going on most of the time...he was just an average drummer.

Album is good.
Still diggin Good Apollo more though.

Re-listening to this again. Still my least favorite from them but they are still my favorite band.
Chris Pennie should of stayed in DEP. Josh fit more, on this Chris is like trying too hard if you ask me. Who knows the difference in sound if josh stayed. Then again i wouldn't want Chris back in Dep because Billy was amazing on Option Paralysis.

The 2 bonus tracks were better than a good handful of songs on the album lol. Why they left them out is beyond me.

even if you don't think pennie adds anything to this, he sure as hell helps their live act. josh played everything way too god damn fast, and chris pennie is tight as fuck live.
It saddens me that this band is so mediocre now. i wanted this to be so good and i thought maybe it would grow but i didn't even want to listen to this more than 3-4 times. i dont even really listen to their old stuff that i used to love so much anymore. I still think it's amazing, ive just overplayed it, and this album and vol 2 didn't give me anything new that i wanted to listen to.

I can't believe how good this album is. It's like Claudio's stupid story is no longer holding them back and they decided to not be pussies anymore and actually make a good rock album.

lol how wrong you are

Besides Welcome Home and a few select tracks, most of their previous songs were light fluff. Besides some good instrument work, they've always come across as an overhyped pop punk band.
Sad but true. Try not to be too butthurt guys.

This keeps getting better and better. The only song I can't stand is Guns of Summer, which sounds like some of Shabutie's older stuff except with technical flair.

I only listened to this about 2 times entirely and I still don't know how I feel about it, but so far I gotta say its not as good as their other albums, maybe I gotta let this one sink in, giving this another listen tonight

I don't know. The End Complete. Mother Superior. On The Brink and The Hound just are plain better than half the songs of YOTBR.
