counseler!...album is so fucking good...guns, razors, knives (fuck wit me)...guns, razors, knives (whooo!)...last two tracks, however, do kinda suck, at least in comparison to the rest of this...

Risk is the fucking jam. As is Royal.

I WILL SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE

YOURRRRRRRRRRR LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE

Wiz come on dude I mean really you live and breath metal, a genre with some of the dumbest fucking lyrics ever put to paper (not that I don't love the cheese factor). Chino isn't Leonard Cohen or anything and definitely gets lazy/bad at times, but his lyrical imagery in songs like Digital Bath is fantastic and he knows his way around some awesome metaphors. And really even at his worst he's as good or better than 90% of pretty much any typical metal band

This Place is Death has actually grown to be on of my favorites on the album...though I still think it should be about a minute longer.

Honestly my least favorite song right now is probably the title track, and it's fucking great. This is the only Deftones album i've heard that doesn't have any weak/filler tracks.

CMD/CTRL is pretty weak

I agree, I don't skip anything on this album. The chorus of the title track is one of the greatest in Deftones history.

I don't think CMND/CTRL is weak at all, reminds me a lot of Around The Fur and its catchy as fuck. Not to mention Carpenter lights up that track with heavy-as-fuck riffs.

Guys if you want lyrics, try songmeanings.com. Most dedicated fans there, its insane. If you can't find lyrics anywhere else, generally they'll be there.

i saw them live back in '06 with Thrice, was a pretty sick show

taste of chaos '06? ya was good show. ASID & SOTY (saw their last show on the tour and they went crazy).

I also caught Deftones with Thrice and Thursday (don't particularly care for them though) back in like '03 or '04.
