Being a HUGE DT fan, this album was quite painful for me. Nothing really ever made me become interested in this. It is one of those albums that one of your favourite bands releases but then you almost immediately look forward to the next 3 or so years when the band are likely to release another record while nervously holding your breath that the band will have recaptured some of that magic that made you love them so much.

Album is mediocre alright, but it's still another quality of music than any of those metalcore-leaning ex-melodeath excuses for... melodeath. Like In Flames.



Oh, and did I already write that I disagree with Projector being "unmemorable"? I find it the opposite, if only for the fact that Stanne sings clean so much on that album.

It does. And if that isn't enough, In Flames managed to beat the album that preceded their latest, DT though followed up Fiction with this snorefest.

I mean "A New Dawn" is an absolutely fantastic song but I'm not so sure that the entirety of that album beats out the entirety of this one.

The new In Flames has a few highlights but also a few stinkers while this has one amazing song and the rest is just 'meh'. I think it's pretty close.

Yeah I'd agree with that. It is pretty close, but in the end I'd take an album with one amazing song and a bunch of average ones over an album with one amazing song, one or two good ones, and a bunch of bad.
