I was actually impressed by Mumford & Sons performance.

i like this

Lyrics were rather lame compared to the talent within the folk genre. And it is clear from reading the lyrics through that Marcus Mumford hates life, hates himself and never has anything positive to say. :P

You spent so long typing that comment.
Also yeah The Cave is so inspired.

"But with lyrics as inspired as Little Lion Man"
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
Sounds like a slightly spiced up version of a miley cyrus song.

Ah Knott, you really fucked it up this time, didn't you my dear?...didn't you my dear? =)
In all honesty though; I'm with you on this.

hey c'mon guys this is prette good

I didn't think so, sorry CelestialDust.
It's not the worst thing to ever grace my ears but it's nothing to be excited about. Half of the songs sounded the same, none of them had interesting stories or lyricism, though the vocals were great, I didn't like much else.

I hate people who don't agree with my opinion as well

for all its flaws this album is just way too catchy for me to not like
i'm sorry guys, i've failed as a music critic. put me out of my misery

I really can't get it. It's not catchy for me. None of the songs caught be because they all sound so damn similar to something I've heard before.

that's how the brain works, we associate with things we've heard/seen/felt before. The difference is they rip off bands based on a trend and have no voice of their own.
And they suck.

I think I put up this argument a few pages back, but it could be debated that because they have cracked mainstream charts in mutliple countries now, they do have a "voice of their own" in a sense. Have those bands they "rip off" ever won a BRIT Award for Best Album?

They're popular because they're diluted.

Everything is diluted. Drugs, alcohol, music, food.

still don't get the hate for this

popularity has nothing to do with having a voice of their own. The Black Eyed Peas are popular and they are the single most vapid, faceless band ever EVER EVER
