After many listens I have finally decided to rate this album. It wasn't until listening to this record on headphones while in a piss pour mood that this really connected with me. The production is well-done, the song writing is superb, and the music is just desolate. Granted, I can only listen to this album when I am in that kind of mood, but that is what makes it unique for me. "Idle Blood" is so fucking awesome.

The Longest Year, Idle Blood, New Night and Departer are the best songs of this album, IMO. Really good stuff. It just keeps growing on me.

My favorite started with Forsaker (I still think it's the catchiest), but I'm starting to lean towards Liberation...the song as a whole is fucking epic, and every induvidual part is ear-catching to me...lyrics are awesome too.
