Opening track is perfection. Crazy they dropped an album this solid so deep in their career

Sorry to be an arse but Beyond was the ‘comeback’ and despite that being a stonker this was even better for me.

Oh shoot you're right lol I always forget about Beyond, it's got nothing on this imo but "I Got Lost" is still an absolute tear-jerker. Essential listening for any emotionally distraught young person

Ocean In The Way is probably my favorite song of theirs

These guys have some of the most interesting guitar stylings I've ever laid ears upon! If anyone has any bands they can recommend with similar guitar frettings going on it'd be greatly appreciated. When I'm playing guitar outside of the metal realm I'd say Dino is easily one of my biggest influences

Front half I'm with you, but the back half has never thrilled me the same way, feels like a handful of tracks don't quite rise to the potential of their best ideas

This is something really special, never really gave this band a chance and thought the album cover was a good place to start. Some fantastic guitar work all over this thing

"this would be far more inviting to newcomers than YLAOM"
maybe slightly, but ylaom is still hella accessible. its the one i started with and i loved it. dont rly see why it would be super impenetrable
