Good Things End rules [3] Same with The Deal and Little Heart and T.T
Idt I've seen many people talking up two of my faves on here - Silent and Mobilia. This whole album rules front to back though, and I think it's partly because of the sequencing; every track feels placed just right in the tracklist, perfectly optimized flow.
I love the first 3 Field albums all quite a bit, but I'd have to say Yesterday & Today is the weakest of the 3, despite having two of the best The Field tracks (Leave It and Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime)

Mobilia has always been one of my favs on this, definitely an underrated pick - l o v e that noir so near to the tracklist. P sure Silent gets its due though
Looping is easily the weakest of the first three to me, but that's mainly because the last two tracks are such a long combined fumble. Otherwise, Leave It rly do be his peak. I'd say Yesterday is actually his most consistent, but this one is still tops for transcendent sequencing and range of vibes

Looping has so many hits, like Is This Power, Up There (this one took a while to fully appreciate but i love it now), Arpeggiated Love (best track on the album), and T.T. I get why you don't like the last two tracks, although I feel like there's something to that last one. It's probably on the lower end of the album for me, but I think it could have been really good, and at the very least it does possess that same hypnotic quality that makes his music so interesting. I like that endless cascading effect going on with those synths and also dig the hazy sort of diffused ambient wash that fills out the space, but it's also a bit of a mess and it's too long + the latter half just doesn't do enough.
| | | I’d say I like this guy but don’t love him and only ever gravitate toward this one? I love everyday (everday?), the first two, little heart’s 30 seconds before the burbly bass comes in, and kinda the last song though moreso the song it samples. Ah well

Mobilia is prob my fave as well. Sun & Ice is up there too

“This whole album rules front to back though, and I think it's partly because of the sequencing…” (2)
for sure! Nowadays I couldn’t see any track as anything less than completely essential. I’d elaborate but my cognitive function is less than optimal at the current juncture
this > Loop > Today > dark trilogy, until further notice

Made another attempt at a ranking:
Tier I: Everyday, Mobilia
II: Silent, A Paw in My Face, Over the Ice
III: Sun & Ice, The Deal, Good Things End
IV: t/t, The Little Heart
It's all really close though, especially the middle tiers. Album is consistently awesome
