yea that makes sense. for me it was listening to commercial stuff (i.e. rap) before i really started listening to linkin park (lol) which got me into rock so it's always been a very recent-centric approach to music

So I recently found out that two of my friends dig some good music.



One of them digs metal (unfortunately I don't). He likes a bunch of good metalcore bands and some death metal (not black metal, as far as I know). He also digs deathcore (eww, right?), but somehow, out of the 3 deathcore bands I looked up, they all have fairly good marks. On sput, they had 3.4 to 3.7 average ratings...I don't like deathcore at all so I can't vouch there.



The other one happens to know the Smiths! omg
