that's the best part of this. it's a pure form of music, in the sense that they don't give a damn what you want to hear. the band wrote this trying to progress their sound and create complex and difficult to understand music.

i really think both this album and akeldama are pretty solid in the context of the current metal "scene", but they really have grown off of me in a big way as my tastes have grown and expanded. they're also one of the most boring live bands i've ever seen. i was so distracted during their set that mike keene actually hit me in the face with his pick on his way off stage

I don't understand why everyone loves Akeldama more than this. No doubt, that was a great album, but Planteary Duality has SO much more ambience to it. I can listen to this over and over. (And I'm sorry, but Leica drags on way too fucking long.)

i remember when i first hit play on the way to school my sophomore year, it was 6:30 am, and i stood up on the bus and i was like "what is this shit!?!"
