Do these guys have any other songs like January 1979

Wolf Am I, Mexican War Streets, Watermelon Ascot, Nice & Blue, Flee, Thou Matadors!

but that song is the best thing ever, and it isn't really worth trying to chase the same thrill when the band covers a whole lot of other ground imo

Thanks for the recs Johnny. Admittedly, I haven't dove too deep into this band besides January 1979 and a few brief listens of their new album.

Oh yeah, I also love Fox, Crow, Cookie.

Nw, I'd recommend Brother Sister next - not my favourite, but it's the best reference point to their discog as a whole. Or, if you really just want more posthxc, check the debut ;]

Hell yeah man! I definitely will do that. I've heard many good things about Brother, Sister. And oh shit really? A to B Life is straight up post hxc? I've been bumping a lot of Emery, Thursday, Funeral For A Friend so if its in that ballpark consider me stoked.

It's kinda in that vein, think Thursday's debut with a little more oomph and even more mess. Some of it is choppy, but the highlights are awesome!

i'd say Red Cow definitely has that January 1979 aggression, probably why they're my two faves of theirs.

I absolutely loved Watermelon Ascot. Red Cow is awesome too Sin. I think Pale Horses is the winner for my favorite mwY sound.

A to B Life was incredible though too... Getting into these guys more is a good feeling.
