It's funny, I remember playing Eternity in a pub years ago, and some folks were complaining of how confusing the songwritting was.
Album rules anyway, and yeah that 3rd part is the shit.

I love how casual Vinnie's vocals are at times, especially on the older records like Eternity. His vocal style is so natural it feels as if he records his vocals in one take.

Manos for president [2]
Fair enough but there is nothing that can excuse A4's title track. Damn, I really sound like I hate thr album.
Eternity's production is definitely horrible but there are some good tracks hidden in there like Angelica.

Eternitys production is part of it's character, and it suits it really well.
A4 title tracks really good, it's atmosphere is great, that desolate lonely vibe is definitely there. And the guitar tone during the "chorus" is so good.

That's one of the songs (the other being Far Away) I can't get into. I think it's because I've heard that rough, but sped up live version (Resonance I) first.

Exactly. Vinnie had some great moments in their oldest album. My favorite maybe is in 'feel' when he say 'Slipping away, I think I'm gonna crack' (and the epic roger water's style scream after this). You can feel the passion explode from his mouth.
Yes. The production on Eternity is a disadvantage.

Whilst that's a great track, it is somewhat overrated

This album is probably the best I've heard from Anathema so far. The atmosphere and soothing passages such as 'Anyone, Anywhere' make for a very relaxing sound. It's quiet, but not boring at the same time and engaging instead.
