First 'deathcore' album I ever heard. My thoughts were: these guys aren't that bad!
It's very standard, eventhough I like it more than all the damn pig-squeeling bands. Gutturals are cool every now and then but all the squeeling now-a-days sucks. So I saw that as a plus.
Guitarwise I thought it was average.
I quite like mr. Sykes's vocals. His high screams are very raspy and growly, I like that. (I'm an amateur deathmetal vocalist, so I always pay attention to vocals)
Downside: nothing memorable on this album except Pray For Plagues, which I still like.
