This is how my conversation at the pharmacist went today:
P: deathspell omega.. what is that?
Me: Oh they're some metal band that I like
P: What is a deathspell omega? what does that mean?
(me in my head knowing: that it is supposed to Satan's final spell he casts upon the earth as he wipes out the last of humanity)
Me: Uh, I dunno man, guess they thought it sounds cool.

This album is such a masterpiece. It isn't as easy to digest as Paracletus but it's almost as good.

I do not believe anything is moral, immoral, or morally equivalent—moral "equivalence" suggests that all things are "Equally moral" whereas my position is that there is no such thing.

Morality has nothing to do with my view here: my view as I have bolded in the OP is about "is" not "ought".

Well guys, as you can imagine by my avatar (R.I.P Timo Ketola) this is my favourite album EVER (of any genre or type of music). It's an album I've listened to so many times I simply lost count (It's without any doubt the record I've heard the most in my whole life). I still give it a spin at least once a week. There is so much inside this masterpiece I think I could write an essay on it. Call me crazy but the very first time I listened to this I had a strong religious-esque experience while dwelling inside its cathedral-like atmospheric passages and fast dissonant riffs. For the first time I want to share with you guys what happened because it's something I won't ever forget, as I remember what I went through very nitid and clear, even though it's been years...

I was in a very small but cozy hotel room in a small town of Spain laying on the bed. I was playing a chess tournament and I had lost a very long and tough game, so I was in a kind of depressed/pissed off mood. This tournament was being held at the same time as the holy week celebrations, which are devotionally lived in Spain (a country with many catholic devotees) and during the night processions were being held on the streets, creating a very eerie and dark atmosphere. I was raised a catholic but by that time I had already lost my faith and was already very critical towards the catholic church as an institution, yet this type of celebrations are always a sight to behold (and I still love to enter cathedrals and other architecturally marvelous religious places). Anyway I wasn't in the mood for catholic processions and music at all and the music (which is very doomy and funeral like in those celebrations) was being played at such a loud volume I decided to close the window grumpily. I was so pissed off I decided to call it a day and order a pizza so I didn't have to go out to have dinner. I was already a huge metal fan and an obsessed audiophile back then so I always traveled with a decent portable audio setup (back then it was a decent DAC and the Shure1540s SRH).
