I'm all about Prosthetics, Gently, Skin Ticket, The Virus Of Life and Gehenna, the overlooked atmospheric tracks

Yeah the band is actually very good at doing these kind of tracks

The Virus of Life and Danger - Keep Away are a hell of an ending. I also think the atmospheric tracks are underrated.

This is a fantastic album dogged down by some rough production. Rick Rubin was a poor choice for Slipknot. His heavily compressed style for metal works wonders for bands like Slayer and SOAD, but for a band as detail-oriented as Slipknot, the compression really dampens the atmosphere of these songs

I've noticed an interesting mandela effect type thing in recent years where it seems like a lot of people actually think that was a Slipknot song.

The Nameless is like the only regular Slipknot song (as in, not some atmospheric piece) I can think of that validates the nine member lineup.

Opium of the People is one of their greatest songs ever and it never gets any love. That needs to change.

Funny you mention that, just found this screenshot of the band hinting along those lines. Surprised it's not getting any attention around here
