"Wish they made another album in a similar vein to this"
The Jens Bogren era of PL is absolutely similar in style to Draconian Times. Both Faith Divides Us and Tragic Idol.

Tragic Idol is kinda similar but Faith sounds heavier and doomier to me

Shadowkings is my favorite on this [2]

Shadowkings is perfect but my favorite of the album's "pop songs" with time has become I See Your Face, stupid catchy guitarz and Bick sounds like he's living the song lol

Didn’t realize there was any pop on here

Yeah catchy doesn't mean it's necessarily pop.
Also I see your face is probably my fav here.

uhhhh Tragic Idol is similar to what now? I mean sure, it's the same band but I don't think there's much of a comparison, especially since everything on Tragic Idol is so fucking loud and compressed. the subtleties of this album are where it's at, TI is not subtle about anything it does.

Agreed but Worth Fighting For alone does feel Draconian-ish to me

Absolutely stunned this only has 1 review and a paltry 18 pages of comments.
I must admit I am one for nostalgic music on the more than odd occasion, but I still remember downloading The Last Time via Kazaa on my dad's PC all those years ago, loading it onto my Winamp playlist and being absolutely blown away.

Actually have to agree with Source on this one. I've listened to this record more times than I can count (love the record for over 20 years), but after all of those listens, the freshest song to my ears is Yearn for Change. All of the songs on here are fucking fantastic, but Yearn for Change is on another level emotionally and just feels so effortless, fucking masterpiece
