It's like 120 Kbps and the quality is bad too.

Quality isn't completely terrible but it's pretty shoddy.

I like how they used guitar solos a lot more, it makes things really interesting. Atmosphere hasn't changed much, might be a bit darker than before, Stanne's voice is still awesome. They increased the reliance on synth melodies (which really sucks and is probably the biggest drawback, because when this band makes good guitar riffs they are flat-out awesome). I miss the epic-ness of The Gallery and The Mind's I tbqfh.
I see it being like a 3 or 3.5 or so, depending on the rest of the album.

Yeah, from what I listened to I was thinking 3ish.

Whoa Stanne's clean vocals in "The Grandest Accusation" are surprising..... it seems he has worked on them.

The only song I liked his singing on was Freecard so here's to hoping its good as I am listening to it on youtube.

It's not nearly as deep, which is what really put me off about it beforehand.

I have a promo for this that is good quality. I don't see what the issue is. I like it because they've stepped away from their comfort zone and tried to give a few twists to their signature sound (or at least emphasize different elements than they have in the past). Also, keep in mind, though, that Projector is my favorite DT release (and then this and Skydancer).

Awesome, Trey. I guess you will be doing the staff review for it? If so, I can't wait to hear what your final take is.

I agree with you that they have stepped away from their comfort zone, but only in a very small way. The guitar solos and changes in song structure are welcome, but I feel that their method of using the guitars only to form simple melodies and provide a chord-laden rhythm section which backs really tiresome synth harmonies is rather boring.
When it comes down to it, though, this really sounds very similar to the past four albums they've released, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that their tried-and-true formula is getting tiresome. We Are The Void doesn't have the wow factor that this album had.
I like the album, there is nothing inherently bad about it, I just feel like they could do more.

Judging just by what I've heard from Youtube, I think I may agree with Crysis for now.

I heard that the quality was low, mine is about 200 kbps

The two songs i've heard....well..... they lack zazz. Could you put the zazz on the zazz train to zazzville?

Iridium is probably the best track because it's just so completely different from anything DT has really done.

Yeah I gave it a solid 3, may bump up with time.
Crysis why the avatar change?
I've had the other one (the cover to "Asunder" by Heaven Shall Burn) for well over a year and a half so time for a change.
