Into The Void is prob my favorite Sabbath “deep cut”… tho is anything from their first three really a deep cut? I feel like all of these tracks are like, basically heavy metal homework. Master of Puppets is probably the only other record on that level of essential imo
You even really into metal if you don’t listen to these albums? I know thats kinda elitist but they’re so fucking essential

the other eras are certainly worth a listen. the martin era is solid. i'm also partial towards born again despite the bathroom stall production (please god tony find the masters and do the remix soon). it's a fascinating discog even from just a historic perspective. tony is just the man.

been meaning to check forbidden because there is no way a sabbath album can be THAT bad, i wanna see how that became a trainwreckord, to steal a term from todd in the shadows

Honestly, Seventh Star is my least favorite Sabbath record... even moreso than Forbidden

seventh star is just pretty dull generic hard rock, t/t is pretty sweet tho. hughes was pretty good too.

Ngl I haven’t even listened to those albums, outside of Born Again I haven’t heard any non Ozzy/Dio led sabbath

born again is worth a look as an oddity, disturbing the priest is one of my favs of any era. ian gillen is legit amazing on it. wish he got more of a shot with sabbath. i should listen to deep purple sometime.

Born Again is underrated and really doesn't deserve the flak it gets. It's better than a lot of Sabbath albums that came after it, I'll say that much, sans the ones that are just as good as it like Headless Cross and Dehumanizer.

a lot of the flak is from the production which is admittedly really awful. a remix would make it sound incredible. but yeah i think born again is prob my fav non ozzy/dio sabbath album.
