They're dissonant death metal with extremely dense production and lots of sludge influences. Very rewarding and my fav dm band ever, but I do admit they can be difficult to get into if you're not familiar with the sound. Don't give up if you don't dig it right away which may be the case.

If you want something proggier but in a similar vein to this check 'cynic - focus,' it's the main band of the second guitarist&drummer on this album. Likewise it you dig the bass work on this&itp and want something thrashy check the bassists (at the time) main band 'sadus'

Both Cynic and Sadus are great. I recommend Atheist as well, if you are wanting something more progressive and technical.

Asp - Price of existence is essential myspace era death core, I know the vocalist joined suicide silence a few years later but I honestly haven't tried any of their albums since the og silence vox Mitch lucker passed away. But yeee idk what's up with latter ASP, SS has bangers but at their peak was probably a better live band than a studio band, their guitarist has a pretty solid metal interview podcast going atm tho
