Black Album is waaaaaay more mature than KEA. KEA is awesome for all kinds of reasons but the personality of it is really completely different than what came after. It's a fun early thrash album but it doesn't have the depth of emotion that the next 4 albums all have.

Fuel sucks yeah, that's the only song they play live consistently that I absolutely hate.

Every song on St. Anger is a stronger contender for worst Metallica song than any of those tbh

Though I'm not one to stand by my convictions at live shows. I remember singing along to Turbo Lover like a drunk Irishman at the Priest concert like it was my favorite song lol

In Flames doesn't even play their old stuff. I saw them open for Opeth and it was embarrassing.

@Mayhem Yeah, the show didn't make much sense. The actual opening band were some obscure Motorhead wannabes, then In Flames played their cheesy radio metal, and Opeth started their set with ELP worship "Eternal Rains", and then ended with some progressive death metal. Lol it was odd but I did enjoy Opeth a lot.

@Mayhem lol you have no idea.

The crowd seemed especially bent on moshing, but the moshing during the "teen-radio-metal" looked extremely awkward from my point of view (crossing my arms like a total elitist haha). Then Opeth played, and it's like the crowd forgot when Opeth had the acoustic sections like in "the Moor", and the moshes just slowly died down when people realized the riffs had stopped. The drunk dudes were still going for it though. It was hilarious.

''That moment when you realize Avril is more metal than James.''
Well Metallica aren't metal anymore man, uncle Tom said it clearly.
NEW ALBUM IS GONNA RULEEEEEE

''Like, IF went full teen-radio-metal, and opeth went full dad rock.''
Wait, so dad rock isn't all those washed up 80s melodic hard rock/hair metal revival acts? Wtf
